Cheesy Hashbrown Casserole

7 cups thawed shredded hash browns
3 cans (10.5 oz each) cream of chicken soup
3 cups sour cream
6 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 cup melted butter
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a large casserole dish.
In a large bowl, combine hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, 5 cups cheddar cheese, melted butter, garlic powder, pepper, and salt.
Spread evenly into the casserole dish.
Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup cheddar cheese over the top.
Bake uncovered for approximately 45–60 minutes, until hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted.
Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
